Bethesda’s Wolfenstein II promo doubles down on the Nazi punching

So there was some "controversy" (in large-ass air-quotes) recently, concerning the marketing for Bethesda's upcoming game WOLFENSTEIN II: THE NEW COLOSSUS. See, they ran this promo (which, mind you, began as a game set in WWII, then transitioned into an alternate history where evil Nazis have taken over America):

Anyway, here's Bethesda's answer to that:

Meanwhile, Bethesda VP of marketing and PR Pete Hines, elaborated:

We don't feel it's a reach for us to say Nazis are bad and un-American. And we're not worried about being on the right side of history hereā€¦In 'Wolfenstein's' case, it's pure coincidence that Nazis are marching in the streets of America this year. And it's disturbing that the game can be considered a controversial political statement at all.

So it seems WOLFENSTEIN II: THE NEW COLOSSUS will punch tons more Nazis October 27th.
