Wrestlers Kevin Nash and John Kap to star in Saw parody Slaw

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Wrestler John Kap, who also plays the titular killer in the upcoming slasher DOLLFACE, will executive produce and star in SLAW, a parody of the SAW films. Kap came up with the initial story for SLAW as well, with Richard Tavernaro handling the writing of the screenplay.

The filmmakers have provided the following description:

SLAW is a parody of the SAW franchise of movies and follows the antics of two brothers who terrorize anyone who ruins their "dining experience".

Be careful who you make angry when you're out to eat – when it comes to food, you only get one chance for a first impression.

Joining Kap and Tavernaro in the cast are Kevin Nash, Gregory Alan Williams, Aaron Beelner, Berna Roberts, Baby Norman, April Bogenshutz, Josh Mikel, Escalante Lundy, Alpha Trivette, Mark Ashworth, Carlos Aviles, Mike Sanders, Leah Monet Johnson, Charles Bellflower, Brian Troxell, and Niki Davis.

The film is being directed by Matt Green and enters production on August 10th. Two weeks from today.

This has me intrigued, I'm really interested in seeing how exactly the story about two brothers who are homicidally obsessed with food mixes with SAW parody elements. Food and SAW aren't something that I often pair in my mind, in fact those movies often made me lose my appetite.
