Hollywood has had its fair share of historically troubled productions. Whether it was casting changes, actor deaths, fired directors, in-production rewrites, constant delays, budget cuts or studio edits, these films had every intention to be a blockbuster, but were beset with unforeseen disasters. In our latest episode we explore 2015's MCU hit, ANT-MAN, starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Michael Pena and Corey Stoll. Eventually directed by Peyton Reed, the film was long-in-development by Edgar Wright (HOT FUZZ) and Joe Cornish, who carried the film for a long time from script to pre-production. Eventually, Wright left the project after clashing with Marvel Studios and the film commenced without him, even though he shares a writing credit with Cornish on the final film.
