Not to be confused with The RZA’s THE MAN WITH THE IRON FIST (which is said to be more modern like BLADE), The RZA’s WU-TANG VS. THE GOLDEN PHOENIX is old school Shaw Brothers through and through.
The low budget martial arts extravaganza was supposed to see a release late in 2009, but it was decided instead that it be held off to coincide with the celebration of The RZA’s 20th anniversary of being in the music business. Well now is apparently that time, and that’s why we’re finally getting a taste of GOLDEN PHOENIX in all its gut-busting glory.
Sadly, there’s no mention of either a theatrical or home video release date, but as soon as we hear it we’ll be sure to let you know.
