Do YOU want to believe? Well, so does the latest X-FILES movie, as the newly-announced title suggests. Yes, we just got word that the full title is: THE X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE.
How did series creator Chris Carter decide upon this? He told the AP: “It’s a natural title… It’s a story that involves the difficulties in mediating faith and science. `I Want to Believe.’ It really does suggest Mulder’s struggle with his faith.”
Of course the phrase makes perfect sense to fans of the sci-fi show – but it still doesn’t really hint at what this flick’s about. They’re going to keep that as close to the vest for as long as humanly possible. It is, however, possible that we’ll learn some info come Friday, as Fox will be holding an X-FILES panel at New York Comic Con (which yours truly will be attending). If even the teeniest bit of scoopage is leaked, I’ll shovel it your way! (That last sentence was weird, sorry.)
