Gen V and Scream 7 star Asa Germann is ready to spread his wings and take flight as a Child of the Atom for Marvel‘s upcoming X-Men reboot. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Germann will star as the mutant Angel in the highly anticipated revival. He joins a stacked cast that includes Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Christopher Abbott as Professor X, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Maya Boyd as Storm, and Adam Driver stepping into the shadows as the mad scientist villain Mr. Sinister.

Originally, Germann auditioned for the role of Cyclops, but the part ultimately went to Heartstopper breakout Kit Connor. Still, sources close to production say Kevin Feige and the team were so impressed with Germann’s screen test that they offered him Warren Worthington III, aka Angel.
