XLrator acquires Alistair Legrand’s The Diabolical, starring Ali Larter

We've been covering Alistair Legrand's directorial debut THE DIABOLICAL for quite some time, beginning back in October of 2013 when we brought you the first haunting poster for the supernatural tale. A few months later we learned that "Heroes" star Ali Larter had signed on to star in the haunter, and recently got our first look at Larter looking plenty terrified in the film. Now Screen Daily is reporting that THE DIABOLICAL has found a home and will be coming our way later this year.

XLrator Media has acquired THE DIABOLICAL, with plans for an autumn release via their Macabre label, according to Screen Daily. The supernatural thriller marks the first to hail from Campfire, the production company founded by Content Media and Ross M Dinerstein.

THE DIABOLICAL follows…

…Madison and her children in their quiet suburban home as they are awoken nightly by an increasingly strange and intense presence. Madison desperately seeks help from her scientist boyfriend Nikolai, who begins a hunt to destroy the violent spirit that paranormal experts are too frightened to undertake.

This film marks the directorial debut of Alistair Legrand, who is directing a script he co-wrote with Luke Harvis. Ali Larter stars alongside Patrick Fischler (“Mad Men”), Arjun Gupta (“Nurse Jackie”), Merrin Dungey (“Betrayal”), and Joe Egender (“American Horror Story: Asylum”).
