Ben Cresciman’s SUN CHOKE has been fairly quiet since its premiere at the Stanley Film Festival, but good news is rising on the horizon! The thriller has been picked up by XLrator Media's Macabre label and is now set for a summer release. Instead of going outside and letting the actual sun choke you out, you can stay in the air conditioning and enjoy a little bit of SUN CHOKE!
Janie’s just trying to get well. As she recovers from a violent psychotic break, she’s subjected each day to a bizarre holistic health and wellness regimen designed, and enforced, by her lifelong nanny and caretaker. She begins to veer off the road to recovery when she develops an obsession with a young woman to whom she feels an inexplicable yet profound connection.
The obsession turns increasingly invasive and wedges all three women into an ever-tightening – and progressively terrifying – struggle for control. Will Janie pull herself back from the precipice of insanity? Or go over head-first, taking anyone nearby down with her?
