With so many zombie films coming out these days, filmmakers really have to do something different to grab audiences attention and set themselves apart from the rest. For example, DEAD SNOW rocked it with the zombie Nazi angle. Good choice. And now there’s one more to add to the unique zombie film list: SAMURAI ZOMBIE!
That’s right folks, SAMURAI ZOMBIE, and according to the new DVD art, he’s Dead… But Still Slicing. Nice! Love the tagline, dig the cover art OK, and think it’s wild concept gives the film just enough edge to make it stand out in the crowd of other zombie movies.
There’s only one problem: at this time, SAMURAI ZOMBIE is only set to be released on DVD in the UK on July 19, 2010. In other words, there is no North American release date on the horizon… yet. I have a feeling, it’ll only be a matter of time.
As of right now, no special features have been announced (stay tuned for those), and I couldn’t tell you what the film’s about other than it’s about a zombie samurai, and really… what more do you need to know? Enjoy the cover art below and get ready for SAMURAI ZOMBIE on DVD in the UK July 19th.
