Zach Galligan and Clint Howard take on Bigfoot in Campout

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Buckdog Productions and Sabo Studios have assembled what I find to be quite an impressive cast for their Bigfoot thriller CAMPOUT, which began filming on Saturday the 13th and has the following synopsis:

The film’s plot centers on Bigfoot, who, enraged by the murder of its offspring, rampages through the countryside of Southeast Ohio.

A detective, a park ranger, and a Bigfoot researcher scramble to locate the legendary creature before it attacks a group of teenagers on a camping trip to an isolated place called Kampout.

GREMLINS star Zach Galligan takes the lead role of the detective in this cryptid creature feature, with the rest of the Bigfoot-battling cast including Johnny Lechner, Stephanie Grote, Braden Baker, Kayla Coleman, and… here's the part that blows my mind… a reunion of four actors from the cult classic THE WRAITH – Clint Howard, Dave Sherrill, Jamie Bozian, and Chris Nash, all of whom played villains in that 1986 supernatural revenge film. The picture above shows the styles Howard and Sherrill were rocking in THE WRAITH.

Not only does a bit of home state pride boost my interest in this Ohio-based production, but I am also hyped to see the WRAITH stars share the screen again. I've loved that movie since I was a little kid. Obviously CAMPOUT writer/director Glenn Martin has a fondness for it as well.
