Zachary Quinto pays homage to Leonard Nimoy in latest Star Trek Omaze video

Zachary Quinto, as well as the rest of the cast and crew of STAR TREK BEYOND, honor the legacy of the late great Leonard Nimoy by spotlighting a charity near and dear to the actor’s heart: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

You may have noticed the filmmakers of STAR TREK BEYOND have been working with Omaze in order to bring a walk-on role to those who donate a minimum of $10. In addition to that, Omaze has randomly selected an additional winner to join the To Boldly Go Crew. The members of this honorary crew will visit the set, hang with the cast, and watch as they film scenes from the new film. You can check out the latest video covering the project below.

This marks the FINAL week of the Star Trek: To Boldly Go Omaze campaign, so if you’re interested in donating, you can head HERE. Filming is now underway for the third Trek installment featuring the “new” crew, but if Zachary Quinto‘s words are any indication, things are going swimmingly. I give props to J.J. Abrams for breathing some life into the franchise, but I am more than ready for soemone else’s take on this classic sci-fi story.

STAR TREK BEYOND will arrive in theaters on July 8, 2016.
