Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead releases new still of star Dave Bautista

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Empire has just released a new exclusive still from Zack Snyder's upcoming zombie action-heist flick, Army of the Dead, featuring more of star Dave Bautista! You can check it out at the bottom of the article, and here's what Bautista had to say about the project and role:

I’m a zombie fan. I tried to get on Walking Dead for years. I said I would come and play a zombie for free, but they said, ‘You’re too big!’ For me, there had to be something special about a zombie film for me to sign up. What sets us apart is the heist. But there’s a whole bunch of different layers to this film.

And here's the official synopsis for the film itself:

Following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.

Meanwhile, Army of the Dead also stars Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi, Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder, Hiroyuki Sanada, Garret Dillahunt, Tig Notaro, Raúl Castillo, Huma Qureshi, Samantha Win, Richard Cetrone and Michael Cassidy.

So what do you guys think? Looking forward to a new zombie flick from Synder (who previously directed the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead)? Either way, sound off below!
