Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist is staging a possible comeback. It has been announced, via "Deadline", that a new chapter is in the works as a holiday movie for the streamer Roku. The series’ main cast, led by Jane Levy, is slated to return.

So here is an even bigger treat for fans and why it's important that you all watch this holiday movie. The deal, which is still being finalized, is for a movie but if it's a success, it could potentially lead to another season of the show. The pending pact with Roku is part of an extensive effort by Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist lead studio Lionsgate Television to find a new home for the show after NBC canceled the series back in June after two seasons and a potential move to NBCUniversal streamer Peacock did not pan out.

Lionsgate Television explored any possible avenues to continue the story of Zoey Clarke whether it was a series, miniseries, or a movie. While this was going on, the options on the cast expired at the end of June and were not extended. As Lionsgate Television was negotiating with Roku, they recently reached out to the key actors on the show and are in the process of finalizing deals with them for the movie.

Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist followed Zoey Clarke (Jane Levy), a whip-smart computer coder forging her way through San Francisco. After an unusual event, Zoey suddenly starts to hear the innermost wants, thoughts, and desires of the people around her, through popular songs. The series also stars Peter Gallagher, Alex Newell, and Skylar Astin.

Between Manifest and this show, you have to respect their tenacity to try and survive. Do YOU think Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist will get to sing another tune?
