Impossibly adorable brunette button Zooey Deschanel, along with young adult man candy (who’s also proved in the last few years that he’s fiercely talented) Joseph Gordon Levitt are, according to Hollywood Insider, in talks to star in the Fox Searchlight romantic comedy 500 DAYS OF SUMMER. The story follows Levitt’s character as he’s hopelessly in love with Deschanel’s character despite her firm anti-love stance. Music video director Marc Webb will be making his feature debut from a script by THE PINK PANTHER 2 scribes’ Michael H. Weber and Scott Neustadter. Production is expected to get underway this Spring. Deschanel can next be seen in M. Night Shams’ vegetation retaliation thriller THE HAPPENING and alongside Jim Carrey in the comedy YES MAN. Levitt can next be seen in the Iraq War drama STOP LOSS, the drama UNCERTAINTY and will make his big budget sellout debut in the currently filming G.I. JOE adaptation.
