If you’ve been keeping up, Mondo Tees has been releasing some beautiful artwork based on the STAR WARS franchise. They’ve wisely stayed away from doing corny stuff like another recreation of a NEW HOPE poster and focused on characters and settings that true fans of the series would love. Their latest posters focus on the bounty hunters of EMPIRE STRIKES BACK – Bossk, IG-88 and Zuckuss – and we’ve got an exclusive look at the art below!
These posters were created by Australian artist Ken Taylor and are limited in print to a run of only 425 each. The posters are banner size and run 12″x36″.
Normally when we premiere a poster on our site, that’s just about all we’re able to do. Let you look and then it’s move along on your way. But the best part about this is that if you love these posters (as you very well should), you can actually buy them. Mondo is the official art boutique of the Alamo Drafthouse and will be offering up all three of these posters. When will you be able to buy them? They go on sale this Tuesday, September 21, but you’ll have to keep an eye on @mondonews, their official Twitter feed for the official announcement as to what time. You’re going to want to move quick though because the last STAR WARS poster that Mondo released sold out in less than 5 minutes.
