Movie super-sleuth El Mayimbe over at Latino Review has done some sneaking around, and claims that he’s heard from his sources who the five candidates are for Hal Jordan’s (Ryan Reynold’s) love interest in GREEN LANTERN, Carol Ferris, the daughter of aerospace mogul Carl Ferris, who has had a crush on Hal forever. Err she has, not her father. Here are the five alleged candidates:
1. Eva Green
2. Keri Russell
3. Diane Krueger
4. Blake Lively
5. Jennifer Garner
I’ve got to go with Russell or Garner here. Watching two seasons of “Gossip Girl” hasn’t convinced me Blake Lively is ready for a role like this. Krueger is hot to the point of being distracting, Green looks too stern and I think either Russell or Garner have the kind of understated beauty and acting chops to be good in this role.
