I can’t help but think the following pictures of Joker merchandise from THE DARK KNIGHT is ruining the mystique and darkness of the character that was so painstakingly crafted by the film’s viral marketing campaign. To see his menacing visage mass marketed for the kiddies to go around collecting candy in six months is too bad. The reason I’m posting this is because still, any Joker story is a cool story, but is there anyone out there that doesn’t agree with me? I have faith that Ledger’s performance will render these get-ups irrelevant, but right now, it’s not jiving with me. The photos were snapped at the HCP Show (Halloween, Costume, Party) in Vegas and if you’d like to see more, click on the picture. Warning: there is a Two-Face related spoiler on the page, but you can only see it if you highlight. So be strong.
