Josh Brolin praises Deadpool 2 co-star Ryan Reynolds

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Ryan Reynolds seems to be the king of the Hollywood bromance. We saw him and his LIFE co-star Jake Gyllenhaal having fun together during the movie’s promotion, and now it seems he’s made a new best bud in his DEADPOOL 2 co-star – Josh Brolin. Brolin is playing Cable in the sequel, and though he and Deadpool (Reynolds) won’t have the easiest friendship in the movie the actor can’t help but sing Reynolds' praises.

The Oscar-nominee recently sat down with EW to talk about his working relationship with Reynolds, and he couldn’t speak more highly of the man who he says has a “perfect sensibility”:

He’s an amazing guy, very smart and really sweet — and really handsome. He’s a smart guy, he’s the one who saw this and tried to get this movie made for eight years and was unable to. I think has such a perfect sensibility. He’s a great producer on it, there’s a lot to trust there.

Brolin has been teasing Reynolds for months now, taking to Instagram to playfully call him out while he continues to morph into god-like figure at the gym. Reynolds has come back at him, using the hashtag “#MaximumAsshole” when he posted the first pic of Brolin in character. Some of us don’t have marriages as strong as this bond. Sad, but true.

The movie will hinge on the two actors’ chemistry, and so far all signs to a perfectly harmonious and riotous relationship that will surely produce wonders on screen. The movie arrives in about nine months, so it won’t be long before we see footage of these two in action. The footage will most likely break the internet, so keep your eyes peeled for when it finally drops. However, like the eclipse, it will be best not to stare at the beauty without protective gear.

DEADPOOL 2 hits theaters June 1, 2018.
