Liev is Sabertooth?

01.11.2008

Liev Schreiber Liev Schreiber will indeed be clashing claws with Wolvie-kins in the upcoming prequel X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE but not, as previously reported, as Wolverine tormentor William Stryker. Instead, Schreiber, as the good folks at CHUD have apparently learned, will slap on some feral make-up of his own and tap into his inner savage to portray Wolverine co-tormentor Sabertooth aka Victor Creed. The obvious question then is who'll be playing Stryker? According to CHUD's source, producers are circling Showtime's friendly neighborhood serial killer Micheal C. Hall. Gavin Hood directing? Schreiber as Wolverine? Hall as Stryker? Can this get any better? Of course it can. Click through to find out one of the front-runners for Silver Fox.

Extra Tidbit: Schreiber middle name is Liev. His first name is Isaac.

Strike me dead if I'm wrong...

but Wolverine (screw X-Men origins)...is on the right track. So far the cast sounds dope, and if Hall is attached...jeez, Dexter himself...I really don't think they can fail.

They should get Clint Howard to play Sabertooth. He already looks feral and has those jacked-up teeth.

Who am i kidding... I'm not paying to see this.

This is kinda strange, but I can't exactly bash this til I see it. Both Liev and Michael are great actors but when you are a loyal comic fan, sometimes it's hard to picture certain actors as these characters you're always reading about.

That

That is a pretty atrocious title. Why can't it just be 'Wolverine'? X-Men Origins: Wolverine sounds like some kind of shitty toy line.

Though, that is exactly what this series has become.

Carry on.

Sabretooth Actor

From the photo Above Liev Schreiber looks like he could play the part.I personally don't recall seening him in a particular movie,However; if I did I probably did not notice.Hopefully he will be dam-good as the Victor Creed/Saebretooth.

I'd still argue that Mane was a fine Sabretooth in X1 (it's not like the role's Hamlet or anything); and he's one of the few guys who's noticeably bigger and taller than Jackman.

Also, is it just me, or does Schreiber sound exactly like Dustin Hoffman? I still have trouble telling their voices apart in "Sphere".

And I've said this before, but I'll say it again: I don't get the fan-boy obsession with Gerard Butler. He was terrible as Dracula. He was terrible as the Phantom. And, from

And, from everything I've read and heard, he's terrible in "P.S. I Love You" too...but I don't think that I'll be subjecting myself to that one anytime soon.

I think Hall looks a lot more like Brian Cox than Schreiber, so this is good news in a way. But that begs the question, how did Michael C. Hall get to be a bigger name than Liev Schreiber? And don't tell me he's not, because in the world of NOW, he most definitely is. I guess it helps when you're in a TV show named after your own character, and not just that guy who has been around for the last fifteen years in bit roles, and narrating episodes of NOVA.

Nothing against Schreiber whatsoever, but what exactly about him screams "Sabretooth"? Is Tyler Mane that busy?

Michael C. Hall as young Stryker, on the other hand, I will glady sacrifice someone else's body parts to see.

Is there a competition to see which of the upcoming superhero flicks can put together the strongest cast that I am not aware of?

I've gotta agree with everyone else though, a cast of Jackman, Schreiber and Hall sounds good.

I was hoping Gerard Butler would end up playing Sabertooth, but I can see Liev doing it. And M.C. Hall, I think, will make a good Stryker.

By the way Omar, I think you meant to say "Schreiber as SABERTOOTH?" You put Wolverine.

Unless you're not telling us something.

I can't believe the idea of Michael C. Hall as a young William Stryker never crossed my mind. Perfect casting.

Micheal C. Hall for the Dubya

M C Hall? I'm down for anything involving Wolverine, and I'm down for anything involving M C Hall. Good deal.
