Louis Letterier has his own sci-fi project named Gravity, and it’s insane

Yesterday, I told you a few details about Alfonso Cuaron’s sci-fi project GRAVITY, which stars Robert Downey Jr. and follows a doomed bunch of astronauts fighting for survival. The film is supposed to full of gorgeous space landscapes, rendered in hi-tech CGI 3D, and have the long, continuous shots we all know Cuaron for.

But there’s another GRAVITY project out there, one that now has Louis Letterier attached to direct, and also the most absurd plot summary I think I’ve ever heard. The film is described as THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW meets TAKEN. Uh, what? Yeah, I know. From Pajiba:

It’s about a father who has to search for his lost child as the world stops spinning and Earth begins to lose its gravity.

Yes, a father trying to find his child after the earth stops rotating, and gravity goes away. I can’t count how many scientific principles are probably being broken in that one synopsis, but damn, do I EVER want to see what the hell this movie turns out to be.

And naturally, you have to imagine it’s going to be 3D. With that plot, how many inanimate objects now have the potential to be floating in front of your face? ALL OF THEM.
