Taylor Lautner is not playing Max Steel. Rejoice!

Lately Taylor Lautner has been snagging up roles left and right.

Why? It might have a lot to do with the fact that the ladies are all hot and bothered over this guy.

For those of you who aren’t drooling over wereboy, you might be happy to know that he’s decided to back out of MAX STEEL. Lautner is wanting to focus his energy on the STRETCH ARMSTRONG film.

If anyone cares about the details, it was basically Hasbro vs. Mattel. Hasbro presented a better package in Lautner’s opinion, so he went with ARMSTRONG. Mattel has also made little progress in Hollywood. Vulture got this slightly funny comment from an insider familiar with Lautner’s decision, “When you sign up to make a movie with Hasbro, you know it will be in theaters a year later.”

I don’t want to sound like an asshole, but Lautner’s acting is kinda terrible. Maybe the kids got something good up his sleeve, and his performances in the TWILIGHT films were a fluke. Somehow though, I’m thinking that’s not the case either.
