Today a new poster for 300: Rise of an Empire then tomorrow the first trailer

For those curious about how 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE is going to turn out, you’ll finally get your first look at the film when the trailer debuts tomorrow. After sharing another poster for the film the studio let it loose that tomorrow evening we would finally be getting a peek at the sequel. Honestly, I thought this thing was just going to get stuck in development hell because we’ve been writing about it for what seems like forever. Then one day movement on the flick picked up and here we are. It’s hard to deny that there’s a fanbase for 300. I remember everyone saying how kick ass it was after the release. Will everyone be feeling the same way after they check out the sequel? It does have Eva Green.

This is probably my favorite poster for the film thus far. We’ve got Sullivan Stapleton reflecting while a sea of blood looks like its about to wash him away. It will be interesting seeing Lena Heady return to her role as Queen Gorgo after watching her on GAME OF THRONES. I loathe Cersei but how f*cking spectacular is she?!

Synopsis: After its victory over Leonidas’ 300, the Persian Army under the command of Xerxes marches south towards the major Greek city-states. The Democratic city of Athens, first on the path of Xerxes’ army, bases its strength on its fleet, led by admiral Themistocles. Themistocles is forced to an unwilling alliance with the traditional rival of Athens, oligarchic Sparta whose might lies with its superior infantry troops. But Xerxes still reigns supreme in numbers over sea and land.”

300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE releases in theaters on August 2, 2013.
