Update: It's recently been announced that Nicolas Cage will be joining the cast of TEEN TITANS GO! TO THE MOVIES as the Man of Steel himself, Superman. Cage, who in the past nearly starred as Big Blue for the WB's long-defunct SUPERMAN LIVES, even named his son Kal-El, in honor of DC's Strange Visitor. Fans of the RAISING ARIZONA star have long-awaited the actor's chance to step into the character's red trunks, and now DC's feature-length animated adventure is going to grant their wish. Strike this one from the bucket list, my friends, this is a thing that is officially happening. Long live the Cage!

Fans of DC's Justice League are in for a treat this Monday morning, as we've just learned that two distinguished members of the superhero strike force are joining the cast of TEEN TITANS GO! TO THE MOVIES, Warner Bros. Animation Group's upcoming animated feature-length film. The news comes via USA Today, who exclusively reported that both Wonder Woman and Green Lantern will be joining the Titans for their big screen debut.

In regard to casting, Warner Bros. decided to pull from the musical end of the entertainment spectrum by casting singer/songwriter Halsey as the voice of Wonder Woman, and hip hop artist Lil Yachty as Green Lantern. In case you need a little background, Halsey is an Electropop artist who got her start by posting videos to social media outlets like Tumblr and YouTube. She quickly began making a name for herself when in 2016 she collaborated with The Chainsmokers for a track entitled "Closer". After the success of The Chainsmokers single, Halsey steadily became a household name after dropping the tracks "Bad in Love", "Damage", and "Gasoline". Meanwhile, Lil Yachty is a Hip Hop/Trap artist whose songs "Broccoli" and "iSpy" have earned him a significant amount of notoriety within his chosen genre.

"Every superhero in the DC Universe has an impact on the fans, so we felt a great responsibility to find a voice for each character that would not only suit the role, but the playful tone of the Titans, and we’re thrilled with our cameo cast," says executive producer Sam Register.

Halsey and Lil Yachty will appear alongside Will Arnett and Kristen Bell, who are set to join the original cast of the TEEN TITANS GO! TV series for the film. Of course, this includes Scott Menville as Robin, Hynden Walch as Starfire, Tara Strong as Raven, Khary Payton as Cyborg, and Greg Cipes as Beast Boy.

For the movie inspired by DC Comics' teenage group of heroes, Robin leads the team to Tinsel Town with a few madcap ideas and a song in their heart to get a hot-shot Hollywood director to notice them, but the group are misdirected after a super villain launches his maniacal plan to take over the Earth — putting the very fate of the Teen Titans themselves on the line when they find their friendship and their fighting spirits failing.

TEEN TITANS GO! TO THE MOVIES will burst into theaters on July 27th!
