A brand new video journal for WATCHMEN has popped up online over at UGO. This installment in the collection looks at Dave Gibbons and his take on what Zack Snyder and the guys are doing with the comic. Oh, and he digs it.

If you aren't familiar with the WATCHMEN comic and as such aren't appropriately psyched for this thing, you have absolutely no idea what's about to hit you. In a month you're gonna be that part in MEET JOE BLACK where Pitt is looking forlornly back at Clare Forlani (here playing THE DARK KNIGHT), and then suddenly you get hit by a bus except instead of a bus it's WATCHMEN hype, and instead of being a mammoth cock block and sucking, it's awesome.

I usually dont think your writing is that good, but 4 jack and cokes later, you're pretty funny.

It's not 300, but Dawn of the Dead that has me excited about Zack Snyder adapting my favorite BOOK of all time.

He's no dummy... and this is no comic book movie. At least not in the way that the Hulk is.

Those "rejects" are what make this so called comic book into a piece of literature. This movie is going to kick ass. Zack's attention to detail is going to shine through in this movie and convince alot of people who questioned him.

Watchmen + Snyder = ?
Watchmen aren't "rejects." Watchmen is the greatest graphic novel ever written. If they do it right this should be nothing like a superhero movie. There are only like 2 fight scenes in the whole novel, and they're brief. Somehow, though, I don't think Zak Snyder is the guy for the job. Watchmen is like the anti-300, which relied solely on looking cool and having kick-ass fights. That's not what...

That's not what Watchmen is about, and I'm afraid that in the process of putting the book to film a great deal of the complexity and meaning will be lost in the translation. Oh well, here's hoping he surprises me.

I'm not sure about this flick. It seems to me we are running out of superheros and are picking up the rejects. Speaking of rejects I believe Christopher Nolan is going to be super pissed when he sees the batman suit rejects in this film.
