007: Road to a Million: Amazon’s James Bond game show hosted by Brian Cox debuts a teaser trailer

Are you as brave as James Bond? Have you ever fantasized about sipping a martini (shaken, not stirred) while thwarting a dastardly plot to upend a nation? You have? Then I’ve got good news! 007: The Road to a Million, the first James Bond-inspired reality game show, is here to make fantasy come true!

Hosted by Succession actor Brian Cox, 007: Road to a Million “follows nine pairs of everyday people as they are unleashed on an epic global adventure through a series of Bond-inspired challenges for a shot at each winning a life-changing £1,000,000 ($1.2 million) prize,” and promises that the challenges will “push their physical strength and mental reserves to the limit.”

In the show, Cox plays “The Controller,” the “mastermind behind the game, who dictates where the pairs go, what they must do, and sets their questions. He monitors each pair’s quest, delighting in the unfolding drama of his intricately devised and often relentless challenges.”

Today’s 007: Road to a Million teaser trailer finds competing couples whisked to exotic locations across the globe to win a life-changing prize in front of cameras. Challenges shown in the teaser include:

• Scaling a massive crane.
• Traversing to the front of a moving train.
• Searching a lavish room while avoiding traps.
• Firing military-grade weaponry.
• Navigating a high-speed chase through winding streets.

007: Road to a Million is produced by the James Bond film franchise team, including Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson.

All eight episodes of the pulse-pounding reality series arrive on Amazon Prime Video on November 10.

How well would you perform on 007: Road to a Million? Could you navigate a speeding train? Would arachnophobia deter you from searching the drawers of an ornate desk for top-secret documents? I could handle the driving portion of the challenge. I don’t know about climbing that crane, though. I get vertigo just from looking up at the Blue Whale hanging from the American Museum of Natural History ceiling. Then again, perhaps I could table my fears for a chance at that sweet cash.
