13th Carpenter

The Hollywood Reporter got the news that horror legend John Carpenter has just signed on to direct THE 13TH APOSTLE for Inferno Distribution.

Yup, you heard right. The man who would be Michael Myers is returning to the directors chair (it’s been 4 years since the crappy GHOSTS OF MARS) to give us all a good scare.

APOSTLE, written by Paul Margolis, is about an investigation of a series of murders that force one detective to exorcise his own demons while uncovering a sick and twisted Internet serial killer club. Along with a tech-savy stockbroker, the detecitve tries to bring these fools to justice.

Really, it could be shit on a stick, and I’d still check it out for Carpenter’s sake. Maybe he’ll redeem himself with this one, and let us forget about GHOSTS OF MARS and VAMPIRES.

We can only hope so….
