1st Lovely Bones pic

The first image has emerged from Peter Jackson’s upcoming drama THE LOVELY BONES, and it features little Saoirse Ronan as 14 year-old Susie Salmon. The film is narrated by Ronan’s character, who from heaven comments on the world below, after she is murdered by her neighbour. This photo actually appears as though it may be of Susie looking down from heaven. If this is indeed Jackson’s take on heaven, I must say it’s exactly how I envisioned it, with far fewer implants of course.

Based on Alice Sebold’s book and co=starring Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz, and Stanley Tucci, THE LOVELY BONES hits theatres on December 11th, 2009.
