Two international posters for the upcoming Lionsgate release of SAW VI hit the good ol’ internet over the weekend, and while the German poster does absolutely nothing for me (below), the Japanese poster (above) actually kind of rocks!
Featuring a couple of traps from the new movie, the new posters sell the point that this is, in fact, another SAW movie, where you should, in fact, know what you’re in for: gritty traps and then some.
Not that that’s a bad thing, as it seems to have worked well for the series considering we’re 6 movies in already, but you’d figure they’d switch something up along the way. Then again, if it’s not broke, don’t fix it, right?
The sixth film in the franchise goes a bit like this: Special Agent Strahm is dead, and Detective Hoffman has emerged as the unchallenged successor to Jigsaw’s legacy. However, when the FBI draws closer to Hoffman, he is forced to set a game into motion, and Jigsaw’s grand scheme is finally understood.
One can only imagine what SAW VII will be like if all is revealed at the end of this one! SAW VI hits theaters everywhere October 23rd, in the meantime, have a blast with these new posters!
