EASTWICK, the upcoming t.v. show based on the 1987 film THE WITCHES OF EASTWICK has finally found its first witch, a pretty little thing named Jamie Ray Newman. She’ll probably only be familiar to people who have seen lots of “General Hospital” and “Veronica Mars”.

Newman will play Kat, a good-natured nurse and a mom of five kids. Naturally, Kat meets a suave fellow named Satan, who will go on to make her life a – wait for it – living hell.

In addition, Veronica Cartwright (pictured right), who co-starred in the original film, has also been cast. No word on whether she’ll be reprising the same cherry pit-spewing character.
