2nd Deadtime story revealed

Director Jeff Monahan at the helm

A little while ago, I wrote a small bit about the George Romero-produced anthology DEADTIME STORIES, when only one of the three tales’ plot was known (that would be the “cancer-curing-dust-from-outer-space” one called DUST, natch).

Now thanks to Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, we know what the second tale, ON SABBATH HILL, is about:

“On Sabbath Hill” is a ghost story about a professor who is a stickler for student attendance. When his wandering eye causes a female student to kill herself, her ghost continues to come to class.

Quite bizarrely, writer-director Jeff Monahan, who used to teach at the Seton Hill campus where the film is being shot, added this: “Being here when I was teaching gave me a few ideas, and this was one of them.”

So the idea of the professor and his “wandering eye” came to Mr. Monahan while he was teaching there, eh? I’ll leave it alone…

The rest of the article is mostly about how tedious it is to actually make a movie, which seems like news to the faculty of Seton Hill.

The details of DEADTIME STORIES’ third entry is still unknown, although it’s scheduled to begin shooting in February, at which point we should learn more about it. (Plus I’m working on getting more info in general about this flick, so keep your eyes peeled.)
