TRANSYLMANIA and STAN HELSING are two flicks I couldn’t for the life of me differentiate. Both look utterly appalling, devoid of any true terror. Certainly neither a first film legitimate horror fans are running out to see. But in case you favor puerile, mildly amusing horror lampoons, y’all are in luck. We just got our blood-dappled hands on 3 new clips from TRANSYLMANIA (scroll below to find them).
From the brothers Hillenbrand (Scott and David), TRANSYLMANIA is a spoof horror in which a group of college kids do a semester abroad in Romania and realize that if the partying doesn’t kill them, the vampires just might!
Written by Patrick Casey and Worm Miller (who collaborated on the untouchable DORM DAZE 2 and MAGMA HEAD), the flicks stars Patrick Cavanaugh, James DeBello, Oren Skoog, Irena A. Hoffman, Tony Denman, Jennifer Lyons, Paul H. Kim, Musetta Vander (below), David Steinberg, as well as Natalie and Nicole Garza.
In the first clip called “Boyfriend,” we find a dude looking to pick up a hot date at an eerie mansion where he meets the girl’s homunculus father.
The next clip, labeled “College Kids,” is actually a TV spot that runs down the basic premise of the film, how a grip of collegians must fight off a band of blood-parched vampires.
The last clip, entitled “What Happened,” one of the leading men Rusty (Oren Skoog) awakes beside a gnarly hunchback with a pretty face (Irena A. Hoffman) the night after of tearing up the sheets.
The flick hits U.S. theaters in 3 days (December 4th), so until then, fix your eyes on the clips below!
