since we got word that Josh Hartnett had scored the lead role in Steve Niles’ adapted zombie/vampire flick 30 DAYS OF NIGHT, from director David Slade. Today we got word that the female lead has been cast, and she’s no stranger to the horror!
Melissa George, her hotness from has signed on to play Stella Olemaun, the deputy sheriff of the town that has vampire issues- who also happens to be Hartnett’s character’s wife in the film. Nice.
I won’t think too hard why this good looking couple are living in the middle of buttf*ck Alaska, but I’ll suspend my belief because hell, we’re talkin’ here (ie, this shite ain’t real, yo).
I’m guessing this is legit news, as it’s coming straight from George’s , so you it’sgotta be true! Don’t believe me? Check it out, and tell me where I’m wrong!
30 DAYS OF NIGHT, already closing in at the top of my list for 2007, is set to release October 19th (and yes, that’s 2007).
