While this may not necessarily fall under ‘horror’, it does fall under ‘f*cking awesome’, as it’s based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel and promises to be brutally violent and full of the cherry red wet stuff. Yup, we’re talking 300, and today the new trailer hit and it’s everything we could’ve hoped for!

Directed by Zack Snyder (DAWN OF THE DEAD remake), the movie is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy.
With Snyder at the helm, you know it’s gonna be awesome- let’s just hope he doesn’t let us down. 300 battles its way into theaters March 9th.
