What do you do after you make a fun little zombie movie like ZOMBIE NIGHT? Well, if you’re director David J. Francis, you make a sequel called ZOMBIE NIGHT 2: THE AWAKENING. That seems fairly obvious (of course), but the real question remains: what do you do after you make a ZOMBIE NIGHT 2? AH! I know! You get ready to make a ZOMBIE NIGHT 3!!!
And that’s exactly what the folks over at Primal Films are doing. ZOMBIE NIGHT 3 is set to start filming this summer (they better get crackin’) in Toronto, and for once, this most likely unnecessary sequel has one cool concept going for it. Check it out:
Zombie Night #3 (aka Reel Zombies) is a moc Documentary, about the filmmakers of a successful schlock zombie series [the real life Zombie Night #1 and 2] making a zombie movie after real zombies have overtaken the Earth.
Now doesn’t that sound cool??? Not only do I have to hand it to them, but hot damn, that also may be one of the more original zombie stories out there (and in this day and age, those are hard to come by). It may come off a bit DIARY OF THE DEAD, but as it’s almost like a biography of the filmmakers themselves trapped in a zombie world which they created… wow… I’m so there.
