Just because it’s been more than six weeks since we bludgeoned you with anything regarding Alex and David Pastor’s virulent chiller CARRIERS, it doesn’t mean the flick should be forgotten about. After all, there’s some places around the globe that has yet to be infected by the flick (Brazil and Argentina, to name a couple). Anyway, we’ve got a 4 rad looking new quads to help promote the damn flick!
Currently available DVD here in the states (as of Dec. 29th), CARRIERS gets going as:
Four kids are driving through the desert on the way to the beach, their faces anything but cheery: this isn’t Spring Break. They’re trying to outrun the end of the world and each other. In Álex and David Pastor’s CARRIERS, no one is safe from the viral pandemic threatening to wipe out the human race. Determined to elude the deadly virus, Danny (LOU TAYLOR PUCCI), his brother Brian (CHRIS PINE), his girlfriend Bobby (PIPER PERABO) and Danny’s school friend Kate (EMILY VANCAMP) speed across the Southwestern U.S. to reach a place of possible safety. Over the course of four days, the group is faced with moral decisions that no human should ever be forced to face. They discover that their greatest enemy is not the microbe attacking humanity, but the darkness within themselves.
And despite being rated PG-13, the general consensus on the flick seems to be one of utter sadness. Not to say the execution of the movie is inferior, but the actual subject matter is quite the downer. It’s said to be more of a drama wrapped in the guise of a horror flick, instead of being an out-and-out genre effort. Feel free to read The Arrow’s endorsing review RIGHT HERE.
So that’s it friends…we just wanted to flash the spotlight on a damn fine flick that, if better distributed, would probably be much better known.

Piper Perabo!
