This may be one of only a handful of news posts about the CW’s TV series SUPERNATURAL that I’ve done in the last 5 and a half years of working on the site, but I can tell you one thing… it won’t be the last. I’ve recently become a huge supporter of the TV series, which rocks each episodes like its own mini-horror flick.
The news today is sorta big, sorta not-that-big-of-deal. According to Jim Beaver, side-kick extraordinaire on the series, via his TWITTER account, Season 6 begins filming in Vancouver… today! Or in his own Tweets…
In Vancouver. SPN season 6 starts tomorrow with episode 4 (!) w/Jensen Ackles directing. I WON’T tweet details, so don’t ask! It’s great!… We’re doing #4 first because a director needs a week of prep b4 an episode, & Jensen can only get that week by going first.
Ok, so that was 2 Tweets, so sue me. The guy had a lot to get through that a measly 160 characters wasn’t about to let him accomplish. Interesting stuff going on there: 1) star Jensen Ackles is taking his stab at directing (for the third time), and 2) they’re kicking off filming for the season with Episode 4. Beaver (hehe) explains why that’s so, but still… kind of odd. don’t you think? To start filming a season with the fourth episode in? Maybe it’s not so nuts, what the flock do I know about making a TV show anyway…
So there you have it. The Tweet was yesterday, meaning Season 6 of SUPERNATURAL kicks off today with Ackles in front of–and behind–the camera. Good stuff. Be sure to TWITTER accountfollow Jim Beaver’s Tweets for possibly more tidbits, and get ready for more news and updates on the wildly cool and fantastic world of SUPERNATURAL as we hear it!
SUPERNATURAL’s Katie Cassidy (for about 6 episodes)!
