There’s only a few days until 9/9/09, which means there’s only a few days left to pimp the shite outta the upcoming Tim Burton-produced animated flick 9, starring the voice talents of Elijah Wood, John C. Reilly, Jennifer Connelly, Martin Landau, Christopher Plummer, and Crispin Glover.
There’s a new clip below from MTV and a couple of new images from the film to check out as well. Color me impressed with just about everything we’ve seen so far of this movie. The unique visual style, it’s overall darkness (a PG-13 animated flick is pretty hardcore), and the voice talents… add that shit up and it could be the breakthrough hit of September.
9 goes a little something like this: When 9 first comes to life, he finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world. All humans are gone, and it is only by chance that he discovers a small community of others like him taking refuge from fearsome machines that roam the earth intent on their extinction. Despite being the neophyte of the group, 9 convinces the others that hiding will do them no good. They must take the offensive if they are to survive, and they must discover why the machines want to destroy them in the first place. As they’ll soon come to learn, the very future of civilization may depend on them.
