My Bloody Valentine’s George Mihalka is consulting producer on Lifechanger

George Mihalka My Bloody Valentine

Filming is currently underway in Toronto on writer/director Justin McConnell's LIFECHANGER, a horror thriller that has a familiar name on board as consulting producer – George Mihalka, director of the original MY BLOODY VALENTINE.

LIFECHANGER has the following synopsis:

A murderous shape-shifter sets out on a mission to make things right with the woman he loves.

The cast includes Lora Burke, Jack Foley, Elitsa Bako, Sam James White, Steve Kasan, Rachel Vanduzer, Peter Higginson, Adam Buller, Brian Quintero, Mark Rainmaker, Ry Barrett, Michelle D'Allesseandro Hatt, Uche Ama, Daniel Faraldo, and Francesco Filice.

The involvement of Mihalka has gotten me very interested in this one, as I love MY BLOODY VALENTINE and like the idea of him helping shepherd this new horror project to the screen.

Serena Whitney and Adam Mason will also be receiving consulting producer credit on the film, which is being produced by McConnell and Avi Federgreen. Keith Leopard, Michael Paszt, James Fler, Andrew T Hunt, Marvin Waxman, and Pasha Patriki serve as executive producers, with Laura Tremblay as associate producer.

LIFECHANGER is expected to be released sometime in 2018, and deals are already in place with distributor Uncork'd Entertainment and distributor/sales agent Raven Banner Entertainment.

The movie just went into production one week ago. We'll keep you updated as we learn more about it.
