Exclusive clip from The Villainess shows off an insane motorcycle fight

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

On August 25th, Well Go USA will release Jung Byung-gil’s THE VILLAINESS, a twisty, action-packed and very bloody South Korean crime thriller that made its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. (Read my review of it HERE.) It’s a treat designed for the same folks who enjoy titles like I SAW THE DEVIL and Park Chan-Wook’s VENGEANCE Trilogy, and while it may never quite reach those lofty levels of greatness, it’s a very solid picture featuring a handful of great action scenes.

One such action scene can be checked out below. It’s a sword fight on motorcycles. What more do you need to know?

Honed from childhood into a merciless killing machine by a criminal organization, assassin Sook-hee is recruited as a sleeper agent with the promise of freedom after ten years of service – and she jumps at the chance for a normal life. But soon enough, secrets from her past destroy everything she’s worked for, and now nobody can stand in her way as she embarks on a roaring rampage of revenge.

THE VILLAINESS opens in NY and LA on August 25th and goes nationwide in September. To see a list of theaters, head over HERE.
