Gumby has an Emmy! I mean, Eddie has an Emmy! Did you guys happen to catch Eddie Murphy's return to SNL last year? It ended up being one of the best episodes in a very long time. And now, that hosting appearance has earned the star his first Emmy for Guest Actor in a Comedy Series.
Having basically started his illustrious comedy career on the series back in 1980, Murphy had never returned to host until now. When it was first announced, there was a great deal of excitement and, thankfully, all that anticipation was graciously rewarded. It was like Murphy had never left! Here is his fun video acceptance speech:

I hope this Emmy win inspires Eddie to hit us up with even more comedy on a regular basis. I know that some of his films can be a bit of a mess, but there is no doubt that the man is a comedic genius whose got plenty of guffaws left in the tank! Do you agree? Let us know below!
