Alexandre Aja to direct Choose Your Own Adventure movie

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Oh, this could be interesting! On the most recent Boo Crew Podcast – where he also revealed that the live-action Tomie film might still be happening – horror filmmaker Alexandre Aja claimed that he is set to direct a feature film adaptation of the Choose Your Own Adventure series from Amblin Entertainment!

Here's what he had to say:

There are a lot of different creatures I want to play with. And different styles. We have this haunted house movie at Amblin with that control technology…that choose your own adventure type…But I don’t know when. It’s just taking so much time for everything to start again. Hopefully I’ll be on set again soon. A lot of exciting projects…

He later compared the project to Netflix's Black Mirror: Bandersnatch episode (who actually got sued by the Choose Your Own Adventure company for using their name), so it'll presumably going straight to streaming. But we'll keep you updated when we know more!

So what do you guys think? Fans of the book series? If so, looking forward to a film adaptation from Aja? Either way, sound off below!
