Fox unveils new footage & details for Alita: Battle Angel at CinemaCon

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

As CinemaCon continues to present new information and sneak peeks at upcoming film projects from major movie studios, our own Paul Shirey has been updating live from the event via our official JoBlo Twitter account. Earlier, we learned some new information from John Landau about Robert Rodriguez' rewrite of James Cameron's script for ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL.

Shortly thereafter, those in attendance at the show were presented with a newly cut sizzle reel for the upcoming sci-fi action film. Rather than describe it to you myself, I'll let Paul give you the goods:

It sounds as if ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL is coming along nicely, right? If you're unfamiliar with the concept for the project, ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL tells the story of one young woman's journey to discover the truth of who she is and her fight to change the world. Based on the Japanese manga series created by Yukito Kishiro, the tale is a post-apocalyptic yarn featuring a cyborg who loses all of her memories and the cybernetics doctor who helps piece her back together again.

Be sure to stay close for all the latest news hailing from CinemaCon 2018 and beyond!

ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL will arrive in theaters December 20th.
