Netflix has granted Black Mirror a Season 5 renewal

If you're a fan of Netflix's psychological thriller anthology series, BLACK MIRROR, you'll be very pleased to learn that the show has been renewed for a fifth season!

Created by Charlie Brooker, with Brooker and Annabel Jones acting as showrunners, BLACK MIRROR  is an anthology series that taps into our collective unease with the modern world, with each stand-alone episode a sharp, suspenseful tale exploring themes of contemporary techno-paranoia leading to an unforgettable – and sometimes unsettling – conclusion. Without questioning it, technology has transformed all aspects of our lives; in every home; on every desk; in every palm – a plasma screen; a monitor; a Smartphone – aBlack Mirror reflecting our 21st Century existence back at us.

For the past four seasons, BLACK MIRROR has featured an impressive list of creatives who've each lent their unique vision and stories to the show. In Season 4 alone, a multitude of themes and locations were explored, such as the "USS Callister" space thriller, a rom com entitled "Hang the DJ", an Icelandic hit-and-run crime drama titled "Crocodile", a black and white nightmare vision called "Metalhead", in additon to "Arkangel" as directed by Jodie Foster, and Colm McCarthy's "Black Museum".

While no release date or episode count has been announced for the new season, it will likely be some time until we learn of what weird and wild directions the show will take upon it's return.
