Creed 2 director found…and it’s not Stallone!

With Ryan Coogler hard at work finishing post-production on BLACK PANTHER, a new director has been sought out for its sequel CREED 2. While many speculated it would Sylvestor Stallone, Michael B. Jordan instead has announced the new director via Twitter. You check see the tweet below:

So it seems the new director will be none other than Steven Caple, Jr., who most recently directed last year’s THE LAND. Honestly, if he has Coogler’s blessing, then he has mine as well. I’m more worried about rehashing Ivan Drago than anything else. Hopefully this one is more ROCKY 2 and less ROCKY V.

Meanwhile CREED 2 will enter theaters November 18th, 2018.
