New Happy! trailer shows off new characters…including Jerry Springer

As longtime readers know, I have been excited about SyFy’s upcoming series HAPPY! since its announcement. I love the idea of genre-mashing in general, but especially high-octane crime drama mixed with little kid imaginary friend stories. Not only that, but it’s based on a critically-acclaimed graphic novel from Grant Morrison, as well as starring the awesome Christoper Meloni and Patton Oswalt as the voice of the titular Happy. There’s a lot to be excited about.

The most recent promo, embedded above, shows off more characters and craziness. We see serial killers, evil Santas, and – for some reason – Jerry Springer. To be fair, the main character (played by Meloni) might be going crazy, so there’s no guarantee that isn’t just an hallucination. Either way, I also thought he was already off the air.

Meanwhile, HAPPY! will fly into SyFy (and our imaginations) December 6th.
