I was never really a big fan of wrestling, but I still became a fan of Roddy Piper through his iconic roles in films like THEY LIVE and HELL COMES TO FROGTOWN. So his passing was still pretty affecting to me. And from most accounts he seemed like a nice guy, even if he played an all-time great asshole on the WWF (or WWE as it’s known today).
And now he’s getting his own documentary, RODDY PIPER: IN HIS OWN WORDS, which you can see the trailer for embedded above. It looks like it’s going to go through the different stages of his career, as well as delve into his personal life. It also looks like it will be a touching tribute to the man, the myth, and the legend.
Best of all, a percentage of all sales will be donated to the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, a hospital which had a special place in Roddy’s heart.
