A sequel to the the 2016 indie horror comedy MEET THE BLACKS entitled THE HOUSE NEXT DOOR is coming courtesy of Blacks writer/director Deon Taylor. Now set to star in the upcoming project are comedians Mike Epps and Kat Williams who will bring their particular brand of funny to the urban comedy follow-up.

Taylor, who is also set to produce the film with partners Roxanne Avent and Robert F. Smith will also be joined by Epps in a producing role via his Naptown Productions label. Epps, who toplined MEET THE BLACKS as the character Carl Black will reprise his role for the sequel. In the original film, Carl relocated his family from Chicago to Beverly Hills only to discover that the city was holding its annual 12-hour purge, a time in which all crime is made perfectly legal for those who live in the area.
For THE HOUSE NEXT DOOR, Carl will once again move his family to new location, this time to his childhood home. You see, now that he's a stressed-out but best-selling author, Carl is hoping that he can find some peace and quiet to write his new book, free of the mayhem that plagued him and his loved ones not long ago. Unfortunately, when an ostentatious pimp (Williams) moves into the area, Black becomes hell-bent on proving that his new neighbor is really a vampire in flamboyant disguise.
Returning for another round of outrageous hijinks are original cast members Bresha Webb, Zulay Henao, social media star Andrew Bachelor (aka King Bach), and comedians Lil Duval, Michael Blackson and Tyrin Turner. The film is set to begin filming next week in Atlanta and will mark the first time that Epps and Williams have been paired as an on-screen duo since 2002's FRIDAY AFTER NEXT.
