Netflix releases ominous teaser promo for Ozark starring Jason Bateman

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

I’ve heard mixed things about OZARK, the dark crime drama starring Jason Bateman. Some said it was good, gripping stuff, others said it was just a watered-down – though still solid – BREAKING BAD rip-off, others said it was hot garbage. I haven’t had a chance to check it out myself yet, but I might after that eerie and cryptic teaser. What do those images mean (besides of course that “N” in the top left corner)?

I’m also happy to see Jason Bateman finding success as a dramatic actor, such as his great turn in the recent thriller THE GIFT and others as well. We will also next see him in season 5 of ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT as Michael Bluth, in what’s supposed to be a murder mystery. I wonder how they’ll find ways to have metatextual references to OZARK? The mind reels.

Anyway, what do you Schmoes think of the show? Yay, nay? Either way, sound off below!

Meanwhile, no official release date as of yet, but it’s expected to start streaming sometime next year.
