STARZ’s American Gods adaptation reveals more characters in new promos

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Oh my Gods, AMERICAN GODS is almost here! Yay! The adaptation of Neil Gaiman's seminal novel from Bryan Fuller is now only a few days away, and STARZ is sharing a couple more promos showing off more characters in action.

First up is Mr. Nancy, the fan favorite trickster Spider-God from Africa played by Orlando Jones. Let's take a look and see how he holds up:

Badass! This is a more intense scene, let's hope he can also play up the playful and jokey side as well (though, since Jones' resume is mostly comedy roles, that should be a given).

And finally, the big bad Mr. World, played by the always fun to watch Crispin Glover:

Perfect casting all around! I also love the way everything looks, with sweeping and innovative camera angles, deep shadows, and saturated colors. It's obvious this is a Fuller joint, which fits perfectly with Gaiman's own eccentric style. It seems my prayers have been answered!  I can't wait!

Meanwhile, AMERICAN GODS will premiere on STARZ April 30th, 2017.
