Viral video starring Tilda Swinton released for Bong Joon Ho’s Okja

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

As a big fan of THE HOST and SNOWPIERCER, I've been eagerly anticipating Bong Joon Ho's next project OKJA. The film – which will stream on Netflix – released a trailer a while ago, and seems to be about a little girl who befriends a giant monster, and must protect it from an evil corporation led by Tilda Swinton.

Now Netflix has released a viral video (in the guise a of a commercial for the aformentioned evil corporation) showcasing Swinton's eccentric baddie. Let's take a look:

Well, that was fun! I especially liked the "what pigs' nightmares look like" bit. I honestly don't know what to expect from the film, as the tone of the viral video seems much more comedic than the trailer linked above. However, that's what's great about Joon-ho, as his previous films definitely had intense, dramatic moments punctuated by broad or goofy humor. Hopefully it's as successful here as it was in his previous films.

Meanwhile, OKJA will stream on Netflix – as well as a limited day and date release – on June 28th, 2017.
